From the President

Welcome to John Wesley University! Today is a great time to be a part of this growing and exciting institution. Here at John Wesley, there is such a wonderful and positive spirit!  We believe that God’s hand is upon us, and we work hard each day to earn the trust of our expanding presence. One of the reasons for our high expectations at John Wesley is the quality of our product: classroom instruction from our faculty. Those of us blessed to serve on John Wesley’s team are energized and stimulated by the challenges that face each student entering our world at this time.  We get excited by the new faculty and staff as they arrive with new vision and talent. They provide a passion that is manifested in our curriculum and forms a position energy that is tangible. This spirit permeates our campus and is the energy driving our student-centered decisions.

We are constantly reviewing and improving our curriculum and renewing our teaching. Fact is, John Wesley offers a faculty gifted in the delivery of excellent instruction with the sensitivity and perspective of seasoned Christian disciples. These great men and women form the critical core of our education here at John Wesley, but students remain the heart and soul of this institution.  They are our ministry. With students entering at multiple levels, multiple ages, multiple career stages, and from multiple backgrounds, John Wesley is a diverse, thriving community.

John Wesley offers a bachelor’s and master’s degree in traditional, on-line, and blended formats. Our Doctor of Ministry Degree brings on-site instruction to the students as well as using on-line exchange of information each semester. No other university of our size has our diversity, flexibility or state of the art delivery platforms. We recently were awarded the honor of one “Top On-line Friendly” universities by ONLINE.WEB Inc.

A published author and popular keynote speaker, Dr. Condon has raised over $40 million between 1980-2012 for four universities through personal solicitation of endowments, foundations, trusts, corporations and personal gifts.

He enjoys the reputation as one of the top small Christian college enrollment managers in the country.  Over his 35 years in higher education, he has built the enrollments of five universities establishing school and state records for size, academic credentials and retention. As an academic innovator that leads through a shared visioning document, Dr. Condon carries an incredible track record of lifting institutions spiritually and fiscally. His vast network of corporate professionals and the ability to share the institutional story opens opportunities uncommon for most small colleges. He has led accreditation teams for SACSCOC, started intercollegiate sports at 5 univiersities, raised capital funds and project managed building construction and renovation, initiated leadership programs for men and women, privately funded a center for servant leadership, designed and developed honors colleges, led enrollment divisions to record increases through recruitment and retention activities, build great teams, expanded the university network, increased institutional effectiveness, authored grants and new cirriculum and served as a Professor of Education while instructing courses in his discipline.

Dr. Condon has been married 40 years to Rebecca, a professional librarian.  Together, they have two children; Curt 36, and Alexis, 31 and one granddaughter, Mirabel, 6.
