Youth Pastor Position Opening
Zion United Church of Christ
130 Hasty School Road
Thomasville, NC 27360
We are looking for an energetic individual who can provide leadership in growing our youth group. Currently, we have a small group, fewer than ten if all were present.
The individual for whom we are looking would teach a Sunday School class for the older youth, and lead a youth meeting one afternoon or evening each week. The possibility exists of beginning a Contemporary Worship Service for the youth at some point in the future. The Youth Pastor would help organize community events involving the youth, with the help of their parents and the church.
This part-time position would likely require 10-15 hours per week. The salary (while not an hourly rate) would be equivalent to approximately $15/hour.
All of this is contingent on negotiating with the candidate concerning their personal situation and needs.
Within 90 days of hire, a review would be conducted to determine if the church and the employee are a good match. At that time, adjustments could be made to the expected duties and/or hours/salary.
